I relay because my life had been impacted by cancer in multiple ways. In the 6th grade, I found out one of my best friends was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It was hard for my friends and I to watch her go through the process at such a young age, but we got to watch her be a fighter and beat cancer. Additionally, my current best friends mother passed away from cancer not too long before we met. I have seen the struggle of losing a mother by being friends with my favorite person in the world. My family has become her second family, and I love her so much. I relay not only for the people in my life, but for everyone else impacted by cancer.
