Like many families, cancer has impacted mine deeply. Many of my family members have become victims of cancer. Some have won their battles, and others have lost. My Aunt Vivian "Boogie" Muro is one of the many reasons why I relay. She was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2015 and fought hard until the end, 7/13/19. Despite how she was feeling, she always carried a smile on her face and made sure to greet you with a big hug. She will always be the strongest and most loving person I have ever known. The love she had to give was always so pure, and she was always so full of life. In this photo, she was already diagnosed with cancer but still made sure to attend the relay.
