Cancer truly touches us all in some way. I lost my Grandma to lung cancer when I was only 2 years old, which is too young to even know what losing someone really means...but my mom lost her best friend that day, and had to raise her kids without the support and guidance only she could bring. Soon after this, my mom got involved with Relay for Life in my Grandma’s honor, and in turn, I grew up feeling and appreciating the community of support that Relay fosters.
I Relay not only to honor my grandma but to continue the legacy my mom started with over 10 years of dedication...and most of all...I relay for HOPE because one day, we WILL live in a cancer-free world.“
